What we do

The Collective collaborates with partners to streamline access to essential services, advice, research, and funding for Catchment Communities. We support Catchment Community Groups’ activities, grow their capabilities, and coach them on the journey towards best practice.

We support catchment groups with:

Catchment action planning

Facilitate catchment group workshops to help groups understand their catchment and community values, identify issues and priorities, set goals, and develop and implement effective action plans.

Catchment community network

Provide opportunities to connect with other catchment groups, enabling the sharing of knowledge on sustainable land management practices and solutions.

Advice and expertise

Coordinate access to advice on restoration, pest control, and sustainable land management practices.

Telling our stories

Assist catchment communities with services, advice, and tools to celebrate their successes, share their stories, and engage with their communities.

Research and monitoring

Support communities by providing the knowledge, tools, and expertise needed to monitor and care for their local resources.

Connecting with schools and centres

Connecting catchment groups with schools and education providers to enable tamariki to learn in and about their catchment.

Funding and administration

Facilitate access to funding and administration of funding for catchment communities.
